Munich, Germany.
In February/March 2009 a Spanish friend asked me for an interview about me and my paintings, to publish it on her Spanish blog. Below you can find a loosely translated excerpt of it.

M.E: I paint since having been able to grasp a pencil, which means, as from the age of 3 or 4. ... Well, for the first paint brush I was a bit older, perhaps 6 or 7 years old.
I remember one scene with my grandpa very well when I was about 3 or 4. He showed me, how to draw a horse pretty easily. I always liked horses. They are as gracil and noble as they are brawny and powerful. Horses do have a gorgeous "Body Landscape", strong and beautiful. When I was a child, I exclusively painted animals, like cats, dogs, birds, etc., but predominantly horses.
M.E: How to paint? Nowhere! As already mentioned, the only person who showed me how to paint (a horse), was my deceased grandpa.
My parents took it always as "quite a nice talent", but not appropriate to make a living from. Thus the doors to a corresponding education or encouragement kept closed ... and therefore painting always stayed some kind of balance besides my "normal" professional life only, unfortunately!
